A quick road trip to Kumbalgarh

This rakshabandhan my brothers took me on a one day road trip to Kumbalgarh Fort, Rajasthan. We hired a Tata Winger and began our journey. As we were going to Rajasthan, what I expected was less greenery and more of desert. I was wrong, it was all green. It was greener than Madhya Pradesh. After every few kilometers, there were small ponds of water, sometimes they were even big enough to be a very small lake. By the afternoon, we were in Kumbalgarh. We could see the fort from 50kms of distance from it but as we got closer, it disappeared. The fort was built by Raja Kumbal in such a way that his enemies could never find the fort and were always misled and that is what happened. The fort could never be won over. It has 360 temples in it, out of which 300 of them are Jain temples. The fort of Kumbhalgarh has perimeter walls that extend 36 kilometres, that is second after the Great Wall of China. The Badal Mahal, situated at the highest point of the fort has the most beautiful view. You can guess it's speciality by it's name. Standing at the terrace there, we were all surrounded by clouds. I had never seen some place so beautiful. The light and sound show in the evening, brought us closer to the heritage of our country. And when I walked out of the fort, I was amazed and proud at the same time of what great architectural pieces our country has. A quick road trip to Kumbalgarh turned out to be my best Rakhi gift.

Scribble

I pick up my pencil and begin to scribble,
Sometimes it's words, sometimes a scenery with pebbles..
In the dark time, I use dark words and dark shades,
As the pencil moves, my loneliness fades..

The lines begin to get sharper with confidence,
When my imagination breaks the fence..
The colors start building a fantasy,
A time comes when it all seems too easy..

Some finishing touches to make it better,
So that there are just compliments and no comments later..
Once I finish it, I feel lonely again,
I realize that my pencil is the only friend I gain..
